  1. What stood out to me was that there was a large diversity between all of the different states and it showed how people lived in other parts of the world. Like how they celebrate and how religions change the way people live. Some words that are brought to mind are awesome, charming, and thoughtful. Some biology that popped into my head as I watched was that there were many different types of ecology in all areas because of where they are located on the globe.

  2. What stood out to me the most was how amazing our world is the people and the culture. I can see the traditions and how the people are so diverse compared to America. I have been in America most of my life and to see some of these countries and the traditions they still have is mind boggling. I love to see that these other countries still hold onto their traditions. And when I look at America I wish we held onto our traditions more. The words that popped in my head were amazement, diversity, culture, and community. These words describe this video very well to me. The biology that popped in my head was the characteristic of life. There is so much out there that we don't know about and how life can bring the everything together.

  3. Two words that came to mind after watching the video where connection and awe. Tho everything in the video was so diverse in what land scape it showed and what was going on it all somehow felt connected into one big picture which was awe and amazement in the adventure. I thought this sense of connection really related to biology in the simple fact that no matter how different 2 things are, at the basic structure they are alike.

  4. While watching the video I couldn't help but compare american culture to that of other countries. I noticed that while other countries might not be as developed as America there is not shortage of happiness. I hypothesized that the rich cultures of these different lands are what bring them happiness. They might not have a plethora of devises and distractions to bring them happiness. Instead, they have there own traditions that they can be proud of. I think this pride in what has traditionally brought humans happiness and I hope that however far the human race progresses into the future it is never lost. What really stood out to me in this video was the wild life. I love to see the different environments animals thrive in. I think it is interesting to look at each organism and notice the small details it's species has evolved in order to give it an edge and help it pass on its genes. A couple words that came to mind while watching this were diversity, evolution, beauty, and culture.

  5. Some words that came to mind after watching the video were diversity and inspiring. Our Earth is filled with many different places that are home to many different people and cultures. The United States being only one of these many cultures means that many people have not experienced the vast spectrum of cultures and beliefs from other people. Also the diversity of the plant and animal life on our planet is incredible. This video was inspiring because it was a son honoring his mother by taking a trip around the world that they had planned to take together. The video is both educational and helps to inspire others to travel and experience new things. Some biology that is present in this video is evolution of species because numerous different types of plants and animals are shown that are all adapted to the environments that they live in. This ties in to our ecology unit and the unique ecosystems in different countries around the world.

  6. After watching "A Sublime Disruption", I had to think about how different the world is everywhere, from climate to people and plants. In some of the videos, there was lots of ice and snow, yet very few plant and animal life. However, in others, it was very warm with lots of plants, animals, and people. All this life depends on the biome that they live in. Two words that came to my mind while watching this were stunning and diverse. Some of the videos he captured were quite amazing, and helped me to see places of the world that I have never been. Also, the amount of diversity throughout the world was more than I imagined. To think about some of those places just compared to the US, I could see many differences, like culture and landscape. All of the things that we saw had something to do with biology. There were many living, and some nonliving components. All of the life has DNA and can function with the seven characteristics of life. Also, I thought it was important to see the amount of differences in just one species, the human, throughout the world.

  7. What stood out to me was not just all the places that he came across, but also all the different types of people with their races and religions and agriculture. Places that popped out to me were the rain forests, and some of the music that he saw there. Another thing that popped out was all the more dangerous things that were going on. For example one time he came across a flag with a skull and two cross bones and that just got me excited for what would happen next. Another thing that got me excited was the gondola that was over hills and it just gave me a feeling of danger. Some words that came to mind through out this video were, southing because many places were places where you could just sit and watch. Another word that came to ind was adventurous or active because it seemed like the place that he was, you just had to do something there. The biology that popped into my head was all the different biomes and habitats that these people and animals and organisms lived in. Also what these organisms did in those biomes and how they survived there.

  8. After watching Sublime Disruption, what stood out to me was the variety of the different places that were shown. Different cultures and places are influenced by the certain biomes they are in. It’s hard to imagine how different places around the world look, because I have lived in Colorado my whole life. Also, I noticed how different America is to other countries, culturally and geographically. Biology that I noticed during Sublime Disruption was the different biomes each place was in, and how each place is unique depending on the biome that it was in. I noticed the Biology of evolution and ecology as well, because all the organisms had to adapt and evolve in their biome that they reside in.

  9. What stood out to me in the video was the realization that everyone is connected and nothing is left completely untouched and impact another thing in some way. I really liked how the guy filming in the video actually went to all the places and you can see how mankind and nature have worked together to form around each other in a fluid and concise form. The many different races and cultures were very surprising and inspiring that everyone seems to be very disconnected but then you see how well people work together for what they believe in. As I said before mankind has fluidly formed their cities and cultures around nature, which also is impacted by the disturbance of people. The wide variety of animals as well made me sad to think that some of them are endangered due to the impact people have had on both indirectly through pollution and directly through hunting. I know that it’s a part of the life cycle but some of the animals in the world should be thriving and would be if people hadn’t decided to interfere. The biology that popped in my head was the different ecology and life that were formed over time to adapt to their environment. Even the abiotic factors have adapted to create a fluid and natural world.

  10. Many things stood out to me in the video. It was amazing to see all the diversity throughout the different places that were pictured. Some were completely different than others I it was crazy to thing how one planet can be so different. It also was hard not to compare the places to where we live. Some of the places were a lot less developed and privileged as our country but it was very touching to see how happy the people were despite that. I also think that it was very inspiring to see how he went on this journey even after his mom passed away from cancer. He knew she wanted to go on the trip as much as he did, so he carried on her legacy. The main words that came to my mind during the video were diversity and inspiring. Overall, I think the video made me appreciate what I have even more and it blew my mind seeing how amazing and diverse the world is.

  11. One thing that really stood out to me was that there was such a difference in cultures all around the world, but it usually seemed like they all were having lots of fun. A word that I kept on thinking about was WOW! Another word was I, and want, and to, and go, and there (I want to go there). The biology I saw was a ton of different types of biomes in the communities. This just showed me how different each part of the Earth is.

    ReplyDelete
  12. While watching the video, I was thinking about diversity on earth. Every one of the places showcased in the video has a different culture, a different way of life, a different level of literacy, a different climate, and many more differences. None of the different places he visited are the same as the others. When I was looking for the biome of each place, I also thought about the effect of urbanization on the surrounding climate. It's a lot easier to identify the biome when the video showcases an extremely rural area than when it showcases an urban area.

    ReplyDelete
  13. When watching the video, not a ton of biology came out to me, if I am going to be honest, because I was in awe at how spectacular the world we live on is. The different people, the different cultures, the different landscapes, the different animals, differences in every single image the creator had. And I just thought to myself, wow, I want to on a trip like that some day in my life. We live on such a mystical and beautiful and amazing planet, and it is underappreciated by many, and I hope at some point people can realize that it is magic. And what mother nature has made is magic. But biology related, how one place can be a desert and one place can be glaciers and snow and cold, is amazing, this is one planet, one place, and we have tundra, deserts, rain forest, all sorts of different ones and it blows my mind.

    ReplyDelete
  14. As I watched I was amazed at the complete diversity of this world and how none of this could have just appeared. It was spectacular to see what God has made for us and how different it all is. I thought about the ecology of all the places because none of it was completely alike and it was cool to discover the world from a different viewpoint.

  15. This video makes me think about how big this world is, and how it’s always moving and never stopping. I think of all the people in different countries going about their day in comparison to the way I live my life. There are farmers, religious people, explorers, and just regular people existing without the knowledge of what’s out there in the big wide world. Each person out there has adapted to their environment. Gaining knowledge about every little thing possible. Everything is growing out there, plants people, knowledge, excitement, and love.

  16. This video was honestly so amazing. There are so many places we ourselves haven't been to, and to me this video shows curiosity. There are many amazing things to see in the world that we've only seen through pictures or videos. The Biology aspect of it stands out less but it ties in with curiosity and wanting to learn new things. It's mind blowing how there can be mountains, oceans, and millions of different types of organisms, some that are completely different from each other. Organisms can develop cultures or ways of life, which is pretty cool. There are so many different cultures, biomes, and organisms that are there for us to learn about and experience.

    ReplyDelete
  17. The video made me think about how different the world is and that we're all living on the same planet and are the same species yet we develop cultures that are so unique to each part of the world. Every place has its own individual aspects about it, culturally and ecologically. Also I really thought about the differences in the world, like how we can have freezing arctic tundras yet also have deserts and rain forests and grasslands all in one planet. Life forms everywhere and has its own unique properties that let it survive in varying climates and conditions and I just thought it was cool how one guy captured an abundant amount of culture and life.

  18. This inspiring video really made me thing of the variety that exists in the vastness of the world. Everywhere is unique and different and there are so many places with unique organisms on this planet. The sounds I also noticed were interesting, it went from a quite calm place to a bustling city. The diversity was amazing. In terms of biology the amount of biomes captivated me. Each organism needs completely different adaptations in order to survive and thrive in the locations shown. The fact that some areas had so little life and some had so much interested me and showed the both the harshness and how unruffled individual areas can be.

  19. This inspiring video we watch showed me that we need to enjoy the time we have and make the best of our moments even though they may not be good ones. He made this video, planning to take this trip around the world with his mother, but unfortunately she passed away and he was left alone to take this amazing adventure alone. I think that the video is showing us the different cultures, different lifestyles, and the many different environments that some of us may not get to see or experience. I like how he videoed his experiences on his trip and that hopefully he still had fun along the way even though he was there without his mother. I also liked to see the many different people and how they dressed and how they acted in their cultures. This video really showed us what some of us won’t see and how cool it was to see the many different cultures.

  21. This video was very inspiring. It made me want to get out and see the world, and not be stuck behind a office desk my entire life. In this video what stood out to me the most was how similar and different places were. You could almost always spot out one or two similarities but you could see a million differences. When people say the its a small world, I think sometimes people don't realize just how massive it really is. The biology of each place in the video was different in its own special way. I saw Jungles, plains, forests, ocean, etc. And each were unique. The one word that popped into my head after watching this video was adventure. And how we as individuals to to explore the world to get a better grasp on other cultures, and biology.

  22. This video reminded me of National Geographic channel because of the integration into the communities and amount of work that goes into getting that perfect shot of the sunrise over the Southern Alps of New Zealand or the monsoon storms approaching in the Serengeti of Kenya. The diversity on this planet is mind boggling, considering we may have only discovered 15% of all the 8.7 million estimated species. Each biome on earth may be similar, but the environment could be completely different with all different species. Even the differences between certain parts of a rainforest, based on location or elevation can be staggering! This video really makes the world a little bigger once more.

  23. This video made me think of how beautiful the world around us is. Even though I know that behind the beautiful images and videos is biomes that are being attacked by the human population. Pollution and deforestation were probably not put in the video but are a real and pressing issue that I think people don't focus on enough. I also found it profound how the video showed all different parts of the world, from tundra and plains to open ocean. I think the video showed just how beautiful our world is and how we should keep it that way and not ruin it with the depletion of natural resources and pollution.

  24. After watching the video, what really stood out to me was the differences between each place and the way they looked. I knew that the world is different but really seeing it put before me was a really cool thing to watch. I liked seeing how beautiful all the places in the world were and how one person was able to see all of them in a lifetime. It’s amazing to think about how much diversity is on this one planet. It was amazing to see so many things that I will most likely never experience in my lifetime and it makes me happy that there is someone who got to see so much of the world theirs. I really enjoyed seeing how beautiful our world is from so many different views and places. I’m really happy that this video was made.

  25. I highly agree with Jonathana415, it definitely reminded me of some sort of National Geographic reel. It was a really well shot video that showed some amazing things this world has to offer. I also liked what Liam A2020 thought about Americans and how not many of us venture out of our own culture to experience new ones. I highly agree with that and also think that if more people did, the US would be a more accepting place. I'm kind of a materials guy and I was wondering how much the trip costed. I think if I had the money it would be an amazing way to see the world and I would definitely do it. The biology that I saw in the video was all types of different plants, people, and landscapes. I really wish there were more animals pictured in the video, but I thought that overall it was pretty amazing.

    ReplyDelete
  26. The video showed so many different places and they were all different and unique, but they all were also similar. They all have people and a ecosystem that is very delicate. They also have landmarks and cultures that make each place very different. The video showed everything great about traveling and inspires the idea and adventure of traveling the world and seeing all these different things and relating them to your own life.

  27. When I watched this the diversity of cultures and people, and the way they had adapted to their local environments, was astounding, an example being Middle Eastern countries and how they dress so they avoid sand and heat to get to their skin. This video was amazing to see and even better after I learned how it came to be.

    ReplyDelete
  28. In the video the thing that really stood out to me was how every shot was completely different. All of the places that they visited had its own look, worlds that came to mind were “diverse” and “Beautiful”. I was able to see a marine and desert biome. I also noticed the houses were all different depending on what area of the world that they were in. You could also see the different cultures around the world.

    ReplyDelete
  29. As I watched this, I was kind of awestruck. Our world is so much bigger than Littleton, CO. That's cheesy and cliche, I know, but it just got me thinking about how limited our bubble is. It really gave me a bigger urge than I've ever had to get out there and explore the world. In terms of biology, I just realized how much there really is to study about life, and so much that we don't even know.

  30. What stood out to me in the video was the beauty of the nature and the culture of the countries that Gareth Nolan was able to capture and share. The difference of cultures was amazing to watch and see all the different wild animals that just roam free. The clip that stood out to me the most was when Gareth was in a forest a bright blue butterfly just flew past him. This just stood out to me because of how dark the forest was and how bright the butterfly was. The contrast of the two colors was amazing to watch. The words that came to mind when the video was finished were beautiful, in awe, and mostly just speechless at the beauty of everything that Gareth was able to capture. Some biology that popped into my head was different biomes and how each culture has to adapt their specific biome in order to survive.

    ReplyDelete
  31. In this video, I was amazed by the differences in culture and ecology shown throughout the video. While some cities were large and occupied large areas of land, others were small towns. Gareth Nolan provided amazing images and videos. The colors were vibrant, the music fit it very well. The different people in the videos showed the cultures and how different they can be. I was in awe by the beauty of the diversity. Some cities built by the ocean, some in the mountains, this video showcased not just the cities and people, but also the ecosystems they thrive in. It was a lot like National Geographic, and it made me want to travel the world!

    ReplyDelete
  32. The people in the video most stuck out to me. I found is inspiring and sparking a desire to understand how different cultures and people and traditions can exist in one biosphere. I watched different races dressed in different clothing, dancing different dances- all equally important to the world. This made me want to go out and ask these people why the detail that makes one different from the other is important to their culture . I find the diversity of the world fascinating when I've been holed up in the same place my entire life. And in this place, I've always imagined that life only happened here, but this showed me there are bigger things than my life here. The biology that surfaces in my mind was the common anatomy of every animal and human on this planet- how the brain is a chunk of meat mixed with electricity and it creates the diversity shown in the video. We all have the same strict chunk of meat and we all are so different. How can that be?

    ReplyDelete
  33. What stuck out most to me in this video is all the different cultures that were shown. Sometimes we began to think that we are the only people and we know how to live and do things in the best way, but this video really made me realize how many different people and beliefs are around the world. It was also very interesting to see all of the different habitats, when living in one place for your whole life you forget there is an entire world out there, with different, places, animals, and people to meet and explore. The biology that was really prominent in this video was all of the different plants and animals coexisting together in the various habitats. The video was overall very inspiring and made me want to go see more of the world.

    ReplyDelete
  34. This video brought two words to my mind, inspiring and insignificant. Inspiring because this video made me want to get out there and experience the same types of things this guy did. Insignificant because this video made me understand that there’s more to life than we see in the suburbs of Colorado. What stood out to me the most was the contrast this video presented. I love how the author switched from clips of New York City to an empty desert, from a well known Vincent Van Gogh painting to a colony of ants on the floor of a forest. All I could think about while watching this was that life depends on life. I was reminded that our world is full of different kinds of living things and no matter how insignificant they are, they matter for something.

    ReplyDelete
  35. The video was not really supposed to be about the places that he traveled, in my opinion. The creator was trying to show more of his experience and what he learned from visiting these locations across the planet. I enjoyed his opening shot taken from the back of the train. Watching the tracks go by lazily was very new and not something I had seen in a video before. I think this shot shows something along the lines of a progression of time, but does so very peacefully.

    ReplyDelete
  36. A couples words that come to mind when watching this video are inspiration, beautiful, explore. This video made you want to go out and explore the world and go outside of Colorado. The video shows how different every place is with culture and religion. It allows you to see other parts of the world's culture. Many different animals and species are shown throughout the video and all of them have adapted to their environment.

    ReplyDelete
  37. What stood out to me is that every country and city has their own culture. The cultures in African countries or Asian countries are completely different from what we see on an everyday basis in the United States. It's really cool to see a video like this and get a glimpse of what other countries cultures are like and their religion. Also as he goes around the entire world, you see the different species and see how animals can adapt to different environments, including humans.

    ReplyDelete
  38. What stood out to me in this video is the fact that everyone is different. Though your upbringing and the place you come from can shape you, you can always change and be fearless with whatever you do. But, when you look at the big picture, no matter who you are or where you come from, there is always room to see the differences and the best in others. Because the world is an absolutely beautiful place, and to judge others for differences they can’t control or compare one place’s / animal’s beauty to another are actions of a fool.

    ReplyDelete
  39. What stood out to me throughout this whole video was just the mass diversity throughout the whole world. In the back of our heads we always know that places are different than where we live, but you never really realize by how much until you see it all in front of you like this

    ReplyDelete
  40. What stood out to me throughout this video was all the different environments. And how different they all are. This video make me also think about all the different cultures and how different it is from are everyday life.

    ReplyDelete
  41. A sublime disruption to me was a reminder about how beautifully diverse we are as a human race. We all live so differently and experience these unlike settings and norms everyday but yet we all come back to relate to one another. Everyone can live so differently but experience life in such similar ways with our emotions. The biology that came to me was the characteristic of life of being able to adapt to an environment, many animals, plants, and humans have had to dapt to these different parts of the world they are located.

    ReplyDelete
  42. What stood out to me in this video was all of the cool things that are on this earth. It amazes me to think about how all of these cool things got here. Their is so many culture differences and languages around as well. This kind of goes back to the spectrum of believes blog because their is different ideas of how the earth was created.

    ReplyDelete
  43. After watching this video it really makes me think about how the rest of the world lives day to day and here in these 1st world countries like the US life is completely different. It shows how diverse the world is and how much a person can miss out on in there life if they never have the chance travel.

    ReplyDelete
  44. The thing that stood out to me in A Sublime Disruption was that every place, country, continent, and city has its own, unique way of life. There are many different cultures around the world and all of these cultures have lots of different rituals associated with them. The Biology that popped into my head in this video was how humans, plants, animals, etc. are able to adapt to their environment so well and how they can change them too to make them better for their way of life.

    ReplyDelete
  45. Many things stood out to me, especially the fact of how diverse the world is. Every place has a different sensation, a different mood, a different culture. However, its all on the same planet. Related to biology, I felt that so many places were impeccable, stunning, and yet, incredibly different. There were canyons, lakes, tundras, and etc. Each one beautiful in its own way.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Also, I thought it was interesting how unique the animals and plants were to each environment. Related to adaptation, each one had adapted to its own habitat in order to survive. Creating a realm of diversity.

  46. In this video all the different cultures are what stuck out to me. I found it fascinating that humans all start off the same way but throughout our intricate lives we follow very different paths. That wherever you go there is always something different. It could be their beliefs or their clothes or it could be something as simple as the different types of food. But what really fascinates me was that we all have our own culture but wherever you are there is always some other culture that you want to try or experience. The Biology that I thought of, was that we are all the same but create such different lives and legacy's. And all together we coexist and change where we are.

    ReplyDelete
  47. What stood out to me was how much diversity there was in the world. Anything you could think of, it was there in the world. Even if they had the same environment or biome, in different areas, it was still unique in it’s own way. I thought it was cool how different areas expressed their biome differently than others. Words that came to mind were unique, diversity, and intriguing. I find it intriguing how all of the biomes were unique then each other and that there was a wide diversity between them. The biology behind my thinking would be comparing it to humans. We may be similar in some ways, but we all have a uniqueness to us, making us different from one another.

    ReplyDelete
  48. Something that stood out to me from the video is all of the different types of cultures and how the people interact with the environment around them. Some biology that popped into my mind as I watched the video is that there are many different types of ecology in all areas.

  49. The diversity within the world stood out to me. Each place was different in its own unique way. Personally, I thought it was cool how it showed all of the different environments. I wish it showed more animals but the video overall was pretty great.

  50. In this video, there was a lot that stood out to me. There were so many different cultures presented, showing the large amount of diversity in the world. Not only were the people unique, but the locations were amazing. Some were near the ocean, others in the mountains. Words that came to mind included inspiring and unique. It made me want to be in a better mood. The biology that popped into my head were adaptations. Each species in every place shown had conformed to their environment, allowing them to survive in their part of the world. This is much like the people who lived in each area. The cultures differed because their resources were different.

  51. What stood out to me was how much there is to our world. There is so many beautiful things in our world to see and I feel like a lot of us don’t take advantage of it. The words that came to mind were: amazing, incredible, and beautiful. The biology that popped in my head was the ecology.

    ReplyDelete
  52. What stood out to me was the constantly changing environment. It made me think about how many different, beautifl, amazing things are in our world and most people have not even scratched the surface of seeing them in person. It also made me think about how crazy it was that the dollar amount of trips burdens the amazing things a person can see in the world. In terms of biology it made me wonder how diverse our planet is and how many animals can survive in different climates and temperatures and still thrive.

  53. Many things stood out to me in the video. The video really showed how much diversity and uniqueness there is. There were lots of different animals, cultures, locations, and perspectives of life. The video showed how everyone lives life differently and it really opened my eyes on how diverse the world is. Words that come to mind are diversity, life, and perspective. The most prevalent form of biology that I saw was ecology. There were lots of different biomes, organisms, and ecosystems.

    ReplyDelete
  54. There were so many different biomes in the places he went.

    ReplyDelete
  55. A lot of things popped into my head especially the camera shots in rainforests because there could be thousands of insects and animals in just that camera shot alone. So some words that bring to mind are diversity on how many different kinds of species that can be pointed out throughout the video. Another thing that bounced into my mind was some of the biomes that were seen in and out different frames of the video, one minute you could be seeing a lush green forest and then next a cold deserted tundra. To add on to that there were many different culture present and it was fascinating to see how these cultures have molded around the ecosystem that they are located in.

    ReplyDelete
  56.     What stood out most to me about the video was that there were no words. I believe the creator of the video did this so that the meaning of the video was left up for interpretation. In my opinion this video had a meaning of that our world is beautiful and we don’t take the time to explore its beauty. Some biology that popped into my head was noticing the diversity of animals, and the diversity of land in our world. The reason I thought about this is because we have so many different land types and animals that we don’t realize how special our world is and how amazing it is to think how all these things were created.

    ReplyDelete
  57. Many different things stood out to me, like the music and no words. The constant change. But the thing that stood out to me the most in "A Sublime Disruption" was that every place, country, continent, and city has its own, unique way of life. There are many so different cultures around the world and all of these cultures have lots of different aspects associated with them. The biology that popped into my head in this video was ecosystems. One frame was a cold tundra, the next a lush forest, the next something completely different. We don't realize how diverse every place on our earth is, and even from seeing different biomes, you can see how each culture has molded around it.

  58. In the video a sublime disruption I saw the devastating affects humans can have in there habitats and I also saw different biomes from around the world.

  59. This was such an empowering video. It stood out in many ways by its unique style. There were no words or speaking it just had music and the constant motion of the filmmaker taking account of the world. It showcased all the different biomes in the world. The video not only showed the nature aspect but also the people that have taken root there. The people have found a way to live with happiness no matter what they have. This really highlighted how most people with less really have more. "Sublime Disruption" really only brought one word to mind, balance.

  60. What stood out to me was how each and every biome was so diverse from the last. The filmmaker as well stood out to me when it was just the video and music. It was simple and eye catching. Not only did the biomes but the people and what their effects were. In a majority of them you saw a human effect and that really shocked me how much we have discovered and seen and how there's still more to see.

  61. After watching the video, I really reflected on how massive and diverse the world is, as well as how diverse the human population is, and how different American culture is. This can relate to biology because within a species, there are genetic modifications that cause each of us to be different, but incredibly similar. I love the human population because even though we are extremely different, we share common ground in peace and wanting to succeed in our various lives.

  62. After watching the video a couple of times, I really thought about how people are the same but different. Also I thought about how different the world is from everything else. This can relate to biology because in species like dogs there are different genetics within each one of us making us different, for example dogs and wolves!

  63. What stood out to me the most was all of the amazing views and different lifestyles that could be seen in the video. I thought it was cool to be able to actually see what the rest of the world looks like and how everywhere on Earth is different. Just seeing other parts of the world on video is an amazing thing so I could imagine how awesome it would be to actually travel to them and see the Earth with your own eyes. Words like amazing, diversity, and peaceful came to my mind when watching this video. Biology that came to mind is all of the different biomes and communities that he traveled to and captured on video.

  64. The one thing that stood out to me about the video is how beautiful the world is, even with all the people and what has been changed to allow people to live there it is still so beautiful. This video brought the word sad to mind. I know that it should have made me happy. But seeing that, all I could think was that I will most likely never get to see that much of the world. I won’t get to see that beauty in person, will never experience how someone else has grown up and how that has affected who they became. In the video there are so many different climate zones, and in each one we saw the cities and people were different. They dressed differently and the cities were built differently, and in bio we are looking at different climate zones and how they affect the organisms there. How an organism has to adapt to where it lives.

  65. What stood out to me the most was the different cultures and architecture in all of the places. It seemed like the culture of the place determined what kind of architecture was built in that location. The word that comes to my mind is captivating. I think it would be amazing to travel the world and see all the diverse cultures. That first hand experience would be truly captivating. The most prevalent form of biology I saw was ecology. Specifically the ecosystems and how the biotic interacted with the abiotic, the biotic interacted with the biotic, and the abiotic interacted with the abiotic.

  66. What stood out to me most was the different lifestyles and living conditions around the world, and how everyone had figured out how to use the environment around them to their advantage. SInce everything was vastly different and each group of people had a different way of going about things, the one word that pop into mind is the word Diversity. Not just only in people but in our world. No one ecosystem or country is the exact same and each one has it's own unique features that all somehow work together. The diversity also gives us all our amazing resources and is a huge part of who we are as a society.

  67. In the duration of this video, I thought it was amazing seeing all of the different biomes. I’m a huge fan of nature and I love seeing how many different ways it’s formed. Through watching it, I was kind of just thinking of genetics and just how everything is made. I was thinking how plants pass on their genes to the next to make the world full of them. I find it cool how it’s an everlasting process of passing on genes. This came to my head because I was just thinking how none of the grass, trees, and flowers would really be in this world if it weren’t for the process of passing traits. After this video, some words came in my head like, “new”, or “explore” because each biome can be a new adventure for anyone and I feel like it’d be a sweet experience.

  68. It was amazing seeing all these different places that you couldn't imagine unless you saw it for yourself. It reminds you that there are places that we have never seen and probably won't get the opportunity to see. But what I thought was the coolest part of the video was the sound and how you could just hear the noise of the background. Whether it was just listening to the calm water or listening to thousands of people in this one area. It's always cool for me to see all these different parts of the world and seeing the culture of other people. Seeing the breath taking views that technology can't gives is amazing because those are the moments you are going to remember the most and not something you saw online. This is one of my personal dreams to travel to places that are unknown for most people and pick up the new cultures on the way.

  69. What stood out to me the most was all of the different lifestyles that could be seen in the video. I thought it was cool to be able to actually see what the rest of the world looks like and how everywhere on Earth is different. I also enjoyed seeing how people live and how its different than in America. Just seeing other parts of the world on video is an amazing thing so it would be really cool to travel across the world and experience many different cultures around the world. During the video words like amazing, diversity, and culture came to my mind. Some biology that came to my mind was all the different biomes and how diverse our world actually is.

    ReplyDelete
  70. The detail that stood out most to me in the video was the diversity of all of the places, and I’m not just saying this because we're studying in the different biomes. The beginning of the video started with a snowy mountain, then it went to desert, rain forests, and open plains. I think that this stood out to me because all of the scenes that were shown, while different, still looked similar in the sense that they are all connected. Some words that the video brought to mind were: amazing, wow, beautiful, distance, different, and culture. The biology that popped into my head was life. This popped into my head because it made me think how all life forms are completely different, yet also very similar. Due to differences in our DNA, we are different and yet similar, due to mitosis and meiosis, we are able to reproduce and keep populations and cultures alive, due to the diversity of our ecosystems, we and all other living organisms are able to live and prosper. This video really highlights all of the different themes of biology that we have studied, and made us realize how much they are all related to one another.

  71. After watching the video what stood out to me was the emotions on people's faces and the different cultural aspects around the world. The word that came to mind while diversity and how some places have more than others and how some places are stronger than others. This made me think back to bio because everyone has their strengths in things that others might not. This can help you when you're looking for extra help or ways to get stronger in somethings.

  72. For me, the biggest thing that stood out to me was just how different every part of the world is, and it is truly truly incredible. The amount of diversity in all the different ecosystems with so many different animals, plants, climates, etc. just astonishing. Not even just the animals and other wildlife, How different other people live in the world around us, it’s not something that you see everyday, so therefore we don’t really know much about other people’s cultures. Just being able to visualize all the different cultures and their way of life is probably my favorite thing from the video.

  73. What stood out to me the most in this video is how different and unique this world really is. The religion they have, the emotion, how they dress, what they live in, how they get around. The amount of diversity this world has is crazy, and this video just shows how much there is. The different weather and climates. Some biology that popped into my head is all of the different biomes and ecology expressed and showed through this video.

  74. When I watched this, 2 words came to my mind. Awesome and Inspiring. It was awesome because he had decided to take this journey that he wanted to take with his mom but unfortunately couldn't but went on the trip anyway because he knew his mom would have wanted to go on the trip and in perspective he probably thought his mom was there through him and she helped guided him. Then it was inspiring because of the fact that his mom had died and instead of falling back and being really sad he used his mom's memories to inspire him to continue their dream. I was also amazed at the different biomes because there is so much diversity than the one in Colorado where it's just either hot or cold and you don't get stuff like oceans or rain forest.

  75. During this video I was truly amazed at how diverse our world really is. The United States does differ in some ways but seeing this video really shows you that there is so much more. Every place has completely different weather, animals, culture and people that live there. This video made me want to travel more to different parts of the world and experience all the types of biomes. The biology I thought of during this video was how the different biomes causes what type of animals live there and creates the food chains and food webs.

  76. After watching this video there were many things that stood out to me. One was how different the world is from each other in a beautiful way. Another was all the landscaping that blew my breath away. This was also amazing because he still took this journey even without his mom. Besides holding back the pain, he knew his mom would have wanted him to go on this trip. Overall this video was beautiful and inspirational.

  77. What I noticed in this video was how unique every place in this world is, every biome different in its own way. The things in this world are diverse in every county including the religion, clothing, animals, weather, ceremonies, and language. All of the world's diversity, problems, and beauties were summed up in this video. It is amazing how unique everything is all around the world.

  78. The thing that stood out to me was the complexity of earth and the sheer magnitude of it. Every single one of these plants, animals, buildings, rocks, everything is made out of the same electrons, protons, and neutrons. 90 elements made everything here. It is so simple yet so complex, and it is crazy to think about. Not to mention trillions upon trillions of cells in every living thing. It kind of makes you stop and think about the scope of everything and tiny particles that build our massive earth.

    ReplyDelete
  79. Some of the things that stood out to me the most about this video were how colorful this world is and how diverse these climates are. I'd describe this video as breathtaking, astonishing, and stunning. I chose these words because this video allowed me to see many different places in the world all form a first person view. I thought about how many different animals and plants live in these very diverse climates. The plants and animals tie the theme back to biology because they interact with each of their respective environments in many different ways.

  80. After class I ended up rewatching the video several times because of how powerful I found its message to be. The fact the producer was saving up to experience Europe with his mom and never had the chance to added meaning to the footage and music behind it. The Video was brilliantly edited and made me actually feel something while I was watching it. The vast diversity packed into a single video really stood out to me, in one scene he would be in a frozen wasteland and in the next a tropical jungle. It really was one of the first videos I have ever seen in class that I have ended up looking up at home, thank you for showing it to me. One thing that popped into my head was the diversity of the areas, all packed into one planet.

  81. In the video, A Sublime Disruption, my immediate thoughts were all of pure astonishment. It is truly crazy that all of these diverse, different cultures and places can all co-exist on one planet. The two words that popped into my head while watching the video were variety and interconnection. While this world is so complex, everything is built upon the same bases and all have a relationship to one another. The multitude of biomes that all inhabit our earth is mind-blowing. It is hard to wrap my head around how so many different environments can all be placed on the same planet without interfering with one another.

  82. After watching this video, what stood out to me was how great a world we actually live in. I’ve never traveled out of the country, so this was a very eye opening experience to see other communities that are so much different than ours. These so much diversity in people, animals, societies, and even geography. It makes me think about how small we really our in the great big picture which is human life. A word that comes to mind when watching this would be amazing. It was truly amazing to see some of the views and interactions that this man made around the world. It is so different from our everyday life in Denver, Colorado, and it almost pushes you to go out and see this for yourself. Some biology that popped up was our current unit on biomes. There is a big difference in biomes throughout this video and it’s very weird to think about. There are groups of organisms one place that are nothing a like ones from another. It truly is an amazing world God made for us.

  83. While watching the video Sublime Disruption, my mind began to wander about how big the world really is. In reality, nothing is that big of a deal because the world is such a big place. I picked up multiple different messages in the video. the most powerful one would be to simply enjoy life. The video portrayed so much energy & happiness around the world it eventually became contagious to me as the viewer. Life is so much more than Centennial, Colorado so live it up.

  84. When I watched this video I realized how confined we can become, within our city and our own mind. Most of the time we don't even think about whats past the roads that take us to school or lunch. Sometimes we forget how amazing and huge our world is. We also forget how much we haven't seen yet.
It made me think about learning more about our world and maybe exploring it one day. It made me want to do something meaningful with my life and do something that makes me happy. The world isn't just little old Centennial, Colorado so we might as well live it.

    ReplyDelete
  85. What stood out to me in this video was all the different environments, some such as waterfalls are very dangerous to be around, but watching them is so peaceful and beautiful. Everything around us is beautiful and it's sad that we don't take the time to appreciate it.

    ReplyDelete
  86. The things that stood out to me from the video in the is diversity in plants, animals, and even the physical features of the people. Something else that stuck out to me was the buildings in the background because they were all "fit" to the country. Everywhere the vlogger visited, was different. May that difference be culture, greenery, buildings, or the animal inhabitants. The words that the video brought to mind are change, diversity, beauty, and culture. Every animal, plant, and physical feature along with immunity has been adapted to the environment so the organisms can thrive and reproduce.

    ReplyDelete
  87. After watching the video, I felt most surprised by the beauty of the Earth that still exist. We are so convinced that the Earth is totally destroyed by pollution, but this shows that those ideas are false. I thought of words like "enchanting", "spectacular", and "bright". The beauty of nature really brings you in. I also immediately think of light when it comes to nature. Everything is surrounded by light and thrives off of light. Plants need light to go through photosynthesis. Animals need light to be warm and to see. It's sad how we as humans, take Earth for granted and don't stop to look at how beautiful it really is.

  88. words that where brought to my head in this video is diversity, beauty, nature, and elegance. This was brought to my head just because of all the different places shown and such different environments shown in the video. Biology that poped up in my head was all the different biomes and ecosystems each of these organisms where living in and how natural selection allows them to live there

  89. After watching the video I realized how amazing the earth is and how it is bigger then just Centennial. Also it shows such a great diversity between people and how different people live. You can tell that humans take the earth for granite when it's such an amazing place. The vlogger showed a lot of what earth can offer and how to live.It helps you see how important it is to keep this earth alive and how important it is to use and preserve it.

  90. This video was mesmerizing. That was just one word that was brought to my mind. Some others were perfection, discovery, and life. Biology definitely came up in this video constantly because it showed the life all around the world. It showed each living things' connections and differences. It was amazing. The beauty of the many places I haven't thought of or seen is what stood out to me. There's so much more to the world than Denver, than Colorado, than the USA. And it is filled with biology. it made me realize that life is truly the staple of our world, and that is what we are studying this year in science.

  91. After watching this video it really put the world into perspective for me. You realize all the diversity, beauty, and amazing thing that the world has in it. Looking at this video you realize not only the natural ecosystems and biomes but the cultural and social ecosystems/biomes. The biology that popped in my head was natural selection, cells, and other things that make earth, earth. Overall I feel like the video was very cool and had a story to tell about not only biology but history and social ecosystems.

  92. Throughout the entire video I think that I kept coming back to the thought that we are so much smaller in the big picture. Our city of Denver and Littleton and even our state of Colorado is such a small part of our world but that doesn’t mean it isn’t important. It really stood out to me how big our world is and just how many different cultures there really are. Some words that I kept coming back to were beauty, wonder, adventure and acceptance. I just kept thinking about how many cultures I have yet to explore and how as an earth we need to accept all of these beautiful cultures. In terms of biology, all of the amazing photos within the video made me think about weather and the environment. Seeing the tall trees and vast oceans makes me think about the different types of environments. The weather in the photos and video clips makes me think about the different climates and how the people in those climates work with the weather. Overall, this video really made me think about different cultures in the world and how together we create the Earth.

  93. After watching this video it made me begin to think about how different the world is then just here and what we are used to. The video really showed the differences between all the different places and cultures around the world. Some words that were brought to mind is peace, and diversity. For biology I began to think about all the different types of life that was brought out in this video through animals and the nature surrounding because of all the different things in different countries around the world.

    ReplyDelete
  94. The video really put a perspective on how little we see everyday. In littleton we only see one biome while as the video showed multiple from varying countries. The video helped me see the beauty of all these different biomes, it captured the life inside and how human interaction has affected the environment. While watching the word diversity popped into my head, because of all the different looking places and eco systems. The video really gave me a sense on what other Eco systems look like and what abiotic and biotic features have affected the environment, now I have better knowledge on how each of these biomes react. All in all the video showed me the exotic biomes that I hadn't previously seen, it helped me see what both life and non life parts of this earth have created.

    ReplyDelete
  95. After watching A Sublime Disruption, I realized that the world is completely different. When you take out human involvement, the worlds complex life forms and diversity is what makes everything different. Biomes are considered the same, but they are different. The question I asked during the video A Sublime Disruption: Have I seen this before? And beyond the view of an eye, every picture is different. The air is different, temperature is different, the culture is different, etc. The word that popped into my head during this video... Imperfection. Every biome isn't perfect, and the imperfections are what makes them unique. The death, the global warming, it's what makes the location unique.

    ReplyDelete
  96. After watching the video a Sublime Disruption, I thought to myself how different all the other countries and biomes were than the one we are living on right now. The diversity is so insane it's unreal. The biomes all look so different and have very little features that rally stand out to the naked eye. It also shows how the rest of the world adapts to these biomes, link in the middle-east, they wear very thin clothes and are working really hard in order sustain a life. Words it brought to mind, were animals, snakes, forest, and diversity. DIVERSITY is the biggest one and really stood out to me.

  97. "This video is not about the places I visited, but merely an attempt to evoke the feeling of wonder and excitement in seeing as much as I was lucky to." - Gareth Nolan (man who created/uploaded this video)

This video has made me realize how much has been put in our earth and universe. It's so detailed and astounding. It makes you think how much was put in our earth and how certain people that live here won't take it for granted. Our world is stunning, every part of it is pure beauty. This video makes me think and wonder why I have never gone and experienced its beauty yet. Like some of my classmates said, there's so much diversity in this world that it shows how much we need to be grateful for it. It shows ecosystems and gives me and idea at how different they are. But shows abiotic and biotic features truly affect the world differently. But again, this video shows so much about the world, and even in a town with a lot of population compared to a place with no town a no population, shows how us humans need to enjoy each diverse place in our world.

  98. What stood out me was how diverse each location was, you can tell by the climate and culture that was shown in each clip. The word that came to mind was interesting because we got to see a community from a different point of view. What came to mind was ecology for example the biomes and how well people have adapted to that their environment.

  99. What stood out to me was how many different environment can be on one planet. When I was watching this I was thinking of the specific food chains that would have to exist to maintain the diverse environment. It also amazed me how different the biomes were and how each of them could be a home for 100's of species.

  101. The one thing that stood out to me, was the way people live their lives. The different cultures and different ways people live is truly eye-opening. It was a really interesting video that really opened up new portal into different cultures in a way to view the world. I also like how he dedicated the video to his mother who we cannot travel with. Different terrain and geography around the world is truly shocking because it's nothing like we experience in America. Sublime disruption is really A new view at how the world works . The transportation that people use around the world is also shocking watching motorcycles flypast was very different from what we experience here in America.

  102. After watching the video, Sublime Disruption, Im amazed at how beautifully created this earth is. It is so cool learning about the different biomes and what is in each one of them to make them unique. This video makes me want to travel to other places to see these places physically. Its truly mesmerizing how diverse this earth is and how different cultures survive and what their living habits are. I also was astonished about how different biomes have such different animals and its cool how the biomes affect the population of different types of animals in different places.

  104. After watching the video, Sublime Disruption I was pretty shocked at how beautifully diverse our world really is. I’ve never traveled out of the country so this was a eye opener. The video started showing a snowy mountain, then a desert, followed by a rain forest and then a open plane. Even tho they were all different in a way they were all still pretty in their own way. This video made me happy because of how beautiful our world truly is but it also made me sad because I most likely won’t be able to see all these beautiful places in person. In each place the diversity was so intriguing because the people dressed so differently and lived so differently and it just amazed me. Some words that came to my head while watching this video and afterwards were; wow, amazing, beautiful, diverse, culture, and new.

  105. The main thing the video overall showed was (to me) variety. Since it shows all the biomes throughout Earth, all of their glory as well. Not so much Biology did I get from the video, maybe because that wasn’t what I was looking for. I honestly was captivated by the locations caught on video, and it’s truly amazing how some places can look on our planet. The views, waters, mountains and vegetation all contribute and make this video a welcoming one.

  106. What first came t mind for me was how natural everything was. It wasn't all the most resort locations and just very simple places on earth and how they are still beautiful. I think with biology this just made me kinda think about how everything connects.Like the one specific clip of the ants and when he showed the little cities, just how they all worked and functioned to stay alive. Off of that how different things survive in different places.

  107. After watching this video, I am amazed. The amount of diversity showed in a little over five minutes out me in awe. I noticed so much diversity between the biomes, and the different organisms and factors in each environment. Also, I noticed that some environments are very still and quiet while others are very busy and fast. There are many factors, but a common factor in each scene was the sun. The sun was shown in every scene, meaning that the sun is a necessity to life.

  109. In the video, A Sublime Disruption, by Gareth Nolan, there were many intriguing things that not only reminded me of biology and the whole idea of ecology and the organisms that live in these ecosystems, but there were also social studies aspects as well. The idea of geography, religion, and different cultures played a large factor in the video as well. I can also relate this to some material I've learned in American Literature as well -- ideas of escaping into nature, following your genius, and perusing dreams. Being a photographer and someone who loves to travel, this video really spoke to me on a personal level. It showed how beautiful our world truly is from several different aspects and how diverse it is too. Living in a suburban area of Denver, we aren't very exposed to how great the world is outside of the Rocky Mountains. Traveling is one of the best ways to experience and learn things that school can't teach or show you. Some words that came to my mind while watching this clip are: wanderlust, serenity, desire, dreams, freedom, diversity, and beauty. This video really shows the beauty that the world has to offer. Not only did I notice the beautiful landscapes, but I tried to pay closer attention to the cultures that are in each of these ecosystems. The world is beautiful, but I think that it's individuals and animals who make the world unique. But on top of making it unique, we destroy it. It makes me sad to think that one day, we might not be able to experience these lovely landscapes due to the amount of trash humans create that pollutes these areas. Mother nature shares her beauty with us, and in return we leave bottles and plastic bags along her shore lines, we cut down her trees to create useless handouts that are rarely necessary, and we make her skies grey with pollution, she does everything for us and what do we do in return? We make her into trash. The video is very lovely and shows us how beautiful our world is, but it hides the ugly truth behind what might come of our ways in the future.
